Constructing The Task

After you have identified your objectives and your phenomenon (or assessment scenario), you need to actually construct the tasks.  This is what the student is going to DO with the information you give them.

The task you give students should be rooted in a Science and Engineering Practice.  The primary task should be taken directly from the Performance Expectation — analyzing data, constructing an explanation, developing a model.  Students are actually DOING something with the scenario you presented them.
