Identifying Your Standards

Step One: 

The first step is to identify the grade level performance expectations are you expected to meet.  

Step Two: 

Once you have identified the standards you will focus your curriculum on, you will begin to consider potential storylines and look for natural connections between the PEs.  I recommend you print the NGSS cards for the Performance Expectations you will address and start looking for connections. Identify potential topics or progressions.
