Explain, Part Two: Reinforcing Understanding

After you have walked students through making sense of their observations by engaging them in discussions, students will need to be exposed to the scientific way of explaining the phenomenon — that means the vocabulary and the official concepts. You may have already done this as part of your discussion, wrapping it up with a short lecture or presentation.
