Tasks For Extension

The other purpose of the Elaborate phase is to elaborate or extend the learning.  Students may use this phase to dive deeper into the subject material – often in areas of their own choosing.  You may even be able to tie this type of approach into the Evaluate phase, as initial research during Elaborate could be applied to a performance task during Evaluate. A few formats for extending the learning include current events, projects, and “genius hour” time.
